Dr. Opare studied at UC Berkeley earning his BS degree studying Food, Nutrition and Dietetics and a Masters of Public Health degree. He earned his Medical Degree at UC San Francisco and his Certificate in Acupuncture at the San Francisco College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
He practiced in the San Francisco Bay Area from the mid 80s until 2006. Moving to Atlanta in 2006 he has focused on serving the African American community in southwest Atlanta. Dr. Opare has extensive experience in allopathic/oriental primary care and emergency medicine, osteopathic manual medicine, fasting and addictive illness. He can quickly comprehend and analyze your specific needs and challenges with your specific medical challenges in mind. He is one of the few practitioners of integrated East/West medicine with professional training in Nutrition. He is one of an even smaller community of adepts of Traditional Chinese medicine that endorse vegan and raw vegan diets.
