Hatha Yoga

The mental and physical stresses that we face in our day-to-day life takes a toll on our body. Bad posture, injuries, and illness can all cause pain, stiffness, and impact our functioning. Yoga improves flexibility, strengthens muscles, helps you tune in to our body, practice deep breathing, and improve overall well-being. This ancient practice with it's roots in Africa has passed the test of time.

Suitable for beginners and challenging for those more experienced with yoga. Adaptable for those with physical limitations due to injuries or illness. Instructors will help you modify the yoga poses to fit your needs. Modifications include seated yoga, and using props or pillows. 

$15 per class. 8 class punch card for the price of 7 classes $105. Bring your own mat please (a limited number of mats are available).

Living Foods Class

Changing how we eat can be challenging if we feel we are missing out on our favorite tastes or we are bored with what we know how to prepare. Expanding our recipe and technique repertoire is an important part of keeping your meals interesting and your taste buds satisfied.

Our Living Foods classes offer recipes, demonstrations, hands-on learning, a meal of the dishes we prepare and and opportunity for you to get answers to your questions. Classes are led by Ama Opare and Safi Toure. Dr. Opare lends his nutrition expertise and commentary and sometimes shares recipes too.
